2021 SANTA CRUZ TALLBOY 4 C 29 XT MOUNTAIN BIKE
The perfect go anywhere, ride anything trail machine, Santa Cruz’s Tallboy 4 C 29” XT Mountain Bike makes great use of their renowned VPP (virtual pivot point) suspension platform. This design allows the bike to be stiff and efficient when riding uphill but plush and controlled on the way back down, and with a 130mm FOX 34 Performance Elite fork, the front end is equally well balanced. A lower link flip-chip can be switched over to extend the wheelbase for more stability downhill and greater traction when climbing.

Shimano’s XT level groupset gives little away in terms of performance to the range-topping XTR, with the 12-speed drivetrain offering a huge 10-51t cassette and snappy shifting even under extreme pressure. Likewise, the XT hydraulic disc brakes and 180mm rotors give fantastic performance and control in all conditions. Both the RaceFace AR Offset 27 rims and Maxxis DHF/DHR tyres are tubeless-ready, making conversion a simple task and bringing the benefits of worry-free low pressure running for better grip and rolling resistance. A carbon handlebar and RockShox Reverb Stealth dropper seatpost round off this impressive build.
