The Santa Cruz Bronson Carbon C S 27.5" Mountain Bike is billed as their versatile model, the bike that will cope with a wide variety of terrains and riding styles without batting an eyelid. For any mountain bike designed to be an all-rounder, dialled in suspension is essential. Santa Cruz uses a RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ rear shock combined with a Virtual Pivot Point for 150mm of well-controlled and damped travel. The essence of this combination is to smooth out the bumps and give the rider as much traction as possible at all times.

At the front, there is a 160mm version of RockShox Lyrik Select+ fork with DebonAir and Charger RC Damper to provide a predictable response and feel. A 27.5" wheelset combines nimble handling and robustness thanks to the Boost spacing of the DT Swiss 370 hubs and the Race Face AR Offset 30 rims. The wide rims also ensure that bigger tyres are still well supported when cornering hard.

All manner of obstacles can be tackled thanks to the wide-ranging 12-speed cassette of the SRAM GX Eagle groupset, and the Code R hydraulic disc brakes ensure that slowing down is equally drama-free. Taking on the technical descents, you'll want your saddle height adjusted on-the-fly, with the RockShox Reverb Stealth dropper post you have this option.
